Research and Study on Air Traffic

REIMEI Inc. conducts research and studies on various issues the aviation industry is facing, and uses our specialized knowledge and experience to provide support to improve safety, efficiency and sustainability in aviation.

Research and Study on Air Traffic

REIMEI Inc. collects and analyzes latest information on new technologies and trends domestic and international, and provide the latest information including the following agenda:

  • ATM:Air Traffic Management
  • ATC:Air Traffic Control
  • UTM:UAS Traffic Management
  • UAS:Unmanned Aircraft Systems
  • RPAS:Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems
  • UAV:Unmanned Aerial Vehicle

Support for the implementation of new technologies

REIMEI Inc. proposes strategies for the implementation of new technologies, such as Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS), and High Altitude Platform Station (HAPS), and assists you in understanding technical challenges and regulations.

Research is underway into the operation of long-endurance (approximately 60 to 200 days) High Altitude Platform Stations (HAPS) in the stratosphere (approximately 70,000 feet), airspace previously unused for aviation. HAPS are designed for long-endurance flight and operate at extremely slow speed. One of future challenges is climbing HAPS without impacting the existing air traffic on their way to the stratosphere. The planned supersonic passenger aircraft will also fly in this airspace, thus is the airspace that will attract attention more and more in the future. REIMEI Inc. is conducting research and study into safety measures surrounding HAPS.

In addition, toward achieving the sustainable aviation industry, REIMEI Inc. offers advises on the introduction of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and the improvement of energy efficiency, as well as supports the development of environmental impact assessments and strategies for carbon emission reduction.

Human Resource Development and Technical Exchange

Human Resource Development and Technical Exchange

REIMEI Inc. offers lectures and training courses on air traffic management, airspace and flight procedure design, and aircraft operations etc. in order to develop human resources with specialized knowledge and skills as well as to improve safety and efficiency of the overall aviation industry.
We also promote strengthening collaboration within the industry as well as sharing specialized skills and knowledge through networking among participants of the programs. Furthermore, we support the development of new technologies and methods through collaborations with universities, research institutes, and relevant companies.

Human Resources Development of Flight Procedure Design

REIMEI Inc. provides training courses in accordance with Quality Assurance Manual for Flight Procedure Design (ICAO Doc. 9906), Volume 2, Flight Procedure Designer Training.

Human Resources Development of the ARINC424 Specification

Aircraft equipped with Flight Management Systems (FMS) are widely popular now, and in addition to RNAV/RNP flight procedures, GLS/LPV approach procedures are being implemented. Performance-Based Navigation (PBN) Manual (ICAO Doc 9613) stipulates the FMS Navigation Database as a mandatory requirement. In future, when flight procedures different from those for conventional aircraft are defined, such as for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), the correct understanding of the FMS navigation database, and the ARINC424 Specification which defines the database configuration, will be more important than ever. REIMEI Inc. offers training courses to deepen understanding of the ARINC424 Specification not only for aircraft operators but also for those involved in operational approval, flight procedure design, aeronautical information, flight inspection, navigation research, etc.
*The courses will be conducted in Japanese.
